Math and Poker = Skill + Luck
By admin | June 9, 2008
Some people are questioning the importance of poker books. There are some who thinks that getting a poker book to read is a waste of time and money. Is poker a kind of game that requires “concepts”?
When I was a kid, I really love my Math subject. It’s because it requires little reading and more practicals. There was even a time when I just skip the concepts part and proceed with the exercises. I considered myself as one of the Math geniuses ever existed because I got several scores of hundreds and five stars. But years after, it didn’t work for me anymore. I just realized that the math game isn’t as easy as and there are a lot of people who are better math geniuses than I do.
I just realized that to be able to be good in the applications, you have to be equipped with the concepts. Poker is a head to head, skill to skill and card to card battle. Reading poker books will give you the concepts and you will do the moves and must have the luck. These books will help you have the skill and slowly, you’ll be good with what you do. Check out some poker books such as omaha poker books and see for yourself. Read, learn and practice.
